Pink Palm Reopening and Store Tour

A few weeks ago, Pink Palm packed their bags and moved a few doors down to a new space in Old Town, Alexandria. They invited me out to check out their new digs - preppy perfection doesn’t even begin to cover it.

The whole store is filled with southern charm, vibrant colors and lots of Lilly. Their old location has no turned into the boy version of Pink Palm and is called Natty Beau. Drop off the boyfriend or hubby there to peruse the needlepoint cufflinks, Southern Proper tees and moonshine soap (it’s actually a thing) while you pick out the perfect outfit for your next family picnic at Pink Palm.

I snapped some shots at their grand reopening and while I must admit the photos aren’t bad at all, you’ve got to see the place for yourself! Pink Palm is located at 1123 King Street in Old Town, Alexandria (Natty Beau is just two shops down!)

Statement Blazer

DC’s weather is a hot mess. One minute it’s 90 degrees and you can’t stop sweating (err, *glistening*) - the next it’s torrential downpour and you, of course, forgot your umbrella. Or is that just me? Literally I only forget to bring my umbrella on days when it rains.

When I spotted this pretty blazer from Anthom, I knew it’d be perfect for those drizzly, cooler evenings in DC. I love how it drapes and the inside lining is satin which is AMAZING. Plus, I love a double duty jacket I can wear for work and after hours!

Next week, I’ll be sharing some photos I shot at Anthom after their store opening. Their new store is in Mosaic District, and if you haven’t visited, I HIGHLY encourage it. I am dying to return for this cropped blouse and these copper hangers.

Light Chambray Dress

Last week, I shared how I styled a dark chambray dress. This week, my little sister, Stephanie (and by little, I mean younger ‘cause this girl towers a whopping 4 inches over me) styled the lighter version of this dress. I’m not sure if it’s a sister thing (it definitely is) but we styled our dresses very similarly, even though she’s 600 miles away. 

This dress is SO summer ready, but will also be adorable in the fall with a chunky sweater. I love that she paired a masculine watch with it - something I try desperately to do but fail miserably because let’s be real, I’m as girly as they come.

Loren Hope Trunk Show at Urban Chic

It’s no secret that I’m in love with Loren Hope’s jewels (see here, here and here.) They’re made in the USA, handcrafted with semi-precious stones and they go with literally everything. I want everything. 

Needless to say, I’m pretty stoked about the Loren Hope trunk show at Urban Chic in Georgetown. The selection is really fantastic and all pieces are 15% off (20% off when you buy more than one!)

Urban Chic is located at 1626 Wisconsin Avenue, NW. The trunk show will last until Sunday, June 8. Their hours are Monday-Saturday 10 AM - 7 PM  and Sunday 12 PM - 5 PM.

Chambray Dress

A couple weeks ago, I was invited to check out the new spring collection at The Frye Company with Poor Little It Girl and Lucky Magazine. Obviously, I died and went to shoe/purse heaven. 

I got these Frye boots for Christmas from the hubs a few years ago. Actually, to be honest, I got a different pair that wouldn't fit up my calves (womp) so I ordered the wide calf ones instead. I'm obsessed. People would literally ask me if I owned any other shoes.

And don't even get me started on this fun Ryan Michael dress. I popped the collar and paired it with my metallic Rebecca Minkoff bag for a more glam feel. Thank goodness chambray is here to stay!
