It's the most wonderful time of the year! And by that, I mean the Rent the Runway Clearance Sale! I don't cover sales as often as others...but when I do, you know they're good.
I'll also let you in on a little secret...I can't afford to buy designer items full price all the time. And in reality, I can't most of the time. Remember this Ellery dress and Clare V Clutch? Got them both at one of the Rent the Runway Clearance Sales. And this black Loeffler Randall bag? Also snagged it on sale during one of the RTR sales. That's why I LOVE this sale. In my mission to really EDIT my closet with pieces I can't live without, these pieces get me one step closer.

This Elizabeth and James Red Eloise Mini Satchel
This was one of my most surprising likes. When I saw the bag online, I wasn't sure how I felt about the red, snakeskin-like fabric. But when it arrived, I was HOOKED. I took it everywhere during my three-day rental. The shape is magical. It holds everything you'd need and it's lightweight too. The Olson twins know what they're doing, I'll give them that. These two pieces were among my favorite I've rented. This vest is such a great statement - it's one of the pieces I was most sad to return. I remember searching for the perfect vest after I had to return this one to RTR, but never found one THIS GOOD. I might have to add this one to my closet permanently! This bag was also among my favorite items I've rented. While it's limited in how often you can wear it, it's THE PERFECT little bag for those cooler months. This Marissa Webb Maxi Tee Dress
You guys know love using Rent the Runway for vacations. And this Marissa Webb dress that I rented for a vacation last year is now a part of the sale! I had it delivered to my Papou’s place when we went to visit him, and wore it for a shopping trip. On our way home (around golden hour - which, in photography terms, means it’s the prettiest time of the day to take photos), I spotted this Rolls Royce and, much to my grandfather’s dismay, asked Shawn to pull over so I could snap a few shots with it. They turned out to be some of my very favorite photos EVER. The feeling of this pretty, silky dress on my skin combined with that magic light and the pina colada I had shortly before brings me so much joy. If you’re on the hunt for a maxi dress - or any dress, really - Marissa Webb is QUEEN of the great-fitting dresses. This Jason Wu Lattice Lace Dress
Earlier this year, I rented a black dress for an important meeting... A few days prior to the meeting however, the Rent the Runway team contacted me and let me know the dress I wanted was ruined by the previous renter (nooooo!), but that they'd be sending me a similar one. I certainly couldn't complain when they mailed me this classic Jason Wu dress. While it's not a style I would have chosen for myself, it was perfect for the meeting. And - fun fact - I met Jason Wu once at an event! See the full look with this dress here!

This dress holds a special place in my heart because it was part of a fun Valentine's Day project I did with Rent the Runway. They sent me two different dresses for VDAY - one I chose, and the other one, a pick from my husband. This is the dress he choose. I'm blessed with a hubby who has great style and knows the types of dresses that flatter my body!
