Visit to Thibiant Beverly Hills

There is nothing (I mean, nothing) worse than winter time. The cold is just unbearable, winter fashion is unattainable and the dry skin I get is unbelievable.

Thankfully, I was able to solve one of the above winter dilemmas last weekend at Thibiant Beverly Hills in Fairfax. I had booked an appointment for a 90-minute facial, and didn't really have any idea of what to expect. All I knew is that I wanted glowy, moisturized skin and I wanted it now.

When I walked into Thibiant, the decor put me in a happy place (see some photos I took below!) and the aesthetic was super luxurious - think Restoration Hardware meets old Hollywood glam.

The treatment started off with a consultation with the lead esthetician, Tiffany. When she asked me about my daily skin routine, I had a minor panic attack. (Skin routine? What does that even mean?!) After talking about my problem areas and dry skin issues, Tiffany stepped out while I jumped under the coziest and softest sheets I have ever felt in my entire life (they're from Comfy Co and you can get them here!)

When Tiffany returned, she took a good look at my skin and within seconds, had created an individualized facial based on what my skin needed. And it turns out, facials are way deeper than just making your skin have that glow - it helps keep your skin (and in turn, the rest of your body) healthy. I'm not much into sciencey things, but did you know your skin is an ORGAN? Your skin is basically a reflection of how how healthy you are on the inside, so keeping it moisturized with the right nutrients is super essential.

Next came the awesome part. Over the course of an hour and a half, Tiffany replenished the thirst my skin had been craving and cleaned my pores. She also drained my lymph system through massaging certain muscles on my face to ramp up my immune system, flush out toxins, and relieve sinus pressure.

Afterwards, my skin felt incredible and I was ever-so-tempted to sign up for their monthly facials (their most popular package.) So many people have the impression that a facial is a luxury, but especially during these winter months, it can be invaluable. I was shocked at the amount of confidence I gained after the facial and through changing up my skincare routine.

For those of us who work ALL THE TIME (whether at a job or at home with crazy kiddos) - we all need a little pampering, and heck, our skin deserves it. YOU DESERVE IT. I'll definitely be back to Thibiant and I hope you'll give them a try too!

In the next few weeks, I'll be sharing some tips on keeping your skin hydrated in the colder months and about what your skincare routine should look like (courtesy of Tiffany, the Master Esthetician at Thibiant) so stay tuned! Thibiant Beverly Hills is located at 3903 Fair Ridge Drive in Fairfax, VA. You can check out their reviews on Yelp here and call  (703) 865-5000 to make an appointment! And take a look at some photos I took of the lovely Thibiant below!

It's Julien is also eternally grateful to Thibiant for the complimentary massage, but all opinions expressed are genuinely my own.
