A few weeks ago, my friend Natalie hosted the cutest pool party OF ALL TIME. Natalie is like, the queen of planning events and creating the best Insta-worthy moments, so I gleaned a few tips from her that I thought I’d share with you!

Yummy Treats:

One word: PIZZA. And if we’re getting specific, &pizza. They have the tastiest pizzas around, their branding is great, and they have lots of incredible vegetarian options. This photo of their pizza has been re-grammed from my account multiple times!

Stay Hydrated:

Water is very important. But equally as important? Rosé. We had wine delivered via Minibar - they sent us some Whispering Angels rosé. It’s one of my very favorites. Nat made us all a cute little cocktail with the rose in a cute cup (it’s plastic since most pools don’t allow glass!) This photo has also been re-grammed multiple times (especially on Fridays and the weekend!) We also had some juices via JRINK (the carrot juice is my favorite!)

A Swimsuit (or 2!) That You Feel Great In:

I knew I’d want to do an outfit change (for the ‘gram, of course), so I brought two suits that I felt amazing in. The first is by Nanette Lepore that I got at South Moon Under. It’s on sale, and probably my favorite suit I’ve worn in a long time. It’s very flattering on my body type (where my Pear girls at?!) And - it’s very comfortable.

The second suit I bought was also super cute. I spotted the Solid and Striped number on Instagram and debated getting it for months. When it went on sale, I snagged it! A few regrets with it: I wish I had gone up a size, and I also wish I knew that it has zero padding. It also finds itself riding up in the back quite often (#BigBootyProblems!) Regardless of those things, it’s still a suit I adore. The colors are so much fun, and I love the way it looks in photos. And great news: it's on sale again.

Invite a Few of Your Best Friends

Since I work full time (in addition to doing the blog), and live pretty far outside of DC, I don’t get to see my friends as often as I’d like. This was the perfect opportunity to catch up on life with Natalie, Sara and Tammy while snapping a few fun photos to remember our fun afternoon. And Paperless Post has some pretty cute invites to help get everyone together! (I really love this one!)
